Breastmilk Banana Spinach Smoothie
Got milk???
Some mamas are overproducers and make more milk than their babies need. Some mamas don't have the storage space for their milk, and some have milk that's soon-to-expire and would otherwise be tossed in the trash. Making this super healthy smoothie is a great way to use up some of that milk! It is easy and delicious, and your clan will surely love it! It's also a great way to sneak in veggies for those who struggle with picky eaters. ENJOY!
Ingredients:
- 8 ounces of breastmilk (of course you can substitute with any milk)
- 2-3 ripe bananas
- 2 large handfuls of spinach
- Ice
Notes: Some people love to add chia as well. Granola is also fabulous on top if your littles are a bit older and can handle the crunchy texture. Avocado is another addition that can make the smoothie a creamier texture.
THAT'S IT! It is so easy.
Toss all of the ingredients into your blender and wah-lah!
This will indeed be one of the healthiest treats you could give your baby once they start solids. And yes, it's adult-approved as well.
Happy family, happy mama!
